For ages, or at least for many years I think, we used to go shopping until the end of August, and everything was discounted, although sometimes the basics weren't even marked down much, remember? It was unthinkable to see the new season's clothes—the autumn collection, that is—in August, before those weeks leading up to September. Now things have changed a lot.
